wrapper.name Property
wrapper.name Property
Configuration Property Overview
wrapper.name

Name of the service. Used in error messages, events, etc. On Windows this property is used to register the Wrapper as a Windows service.

Example:
wrapper.name=myapp

On UNIX versions of the Wrapper the included shell script will set this property using the value of the APP_NAME environment variable in the script.

For historical reasons, this property defaults to the value of the wrapper.ntservice.name property, which in turn defaults to "Wrapper".

WARNING

Never change the value of this property while an application is installed as a Windows service. Doing so will make it impossible to uninstall the service. Always remove an existing service before changing the name. The service with the new name can then safely be reinstalled.
